Out of Network vs. In Network with Insurance

If you’re paying lots of money on a monthly basis for insurance premiums, why pay for out of network medical care? The answer depends on your values. If your top priority is frugality, then going through your insurance process may be the best option for you, however, consider that after co-payments for visits it may be cheaper to go out of network for a service. With a common co-payment of $30-$50 a visit, physical therapy in an outpatient setting can add up to $60-$150 a week, going 2-3 times a week. The cost can be even more if you have a high deductible. At Clarity Rehab, we can see someone once a week and have faster results in less visits. Being an out of network physical therapy practice, we are able to spend more time attending to the patient’s needs and providing a higher quality of care. We are not burdened by trying to acquire contracts with various insurance companies, collecting reimbursements, or following up on denied claims. All of our time is spent with you.

Those who value convenience are able to circumvent waiting for approvals and referrals before getting to therapy with Clarity Rehab. As a concierge physical therapist, we can see you the day your dizziness starts rather than after you’ve gone through the insurance process, which often can take a couple months going through multiple doctors. With Clarity Rehab, you can trust that we will provide the highest quality of care whenever you need it, as efficiently as possible.

Unfortunately, out of network therapy services such as Clarity Rehab’s are only able to see Medicare beneficiaries for wellness services. Services that are medically necessary cannot be provided from an out of network practice. This is an unfortunate law that prohibits physical therapists from taking cash for services when they would otherwise be covered under Medicare. This law not only limits the patient, but also the provider. Please contact your representative and ask for change!
